Best Thing I Watched Last Week: Black-ish
Last week, here were many great shows that aired on TV, but my pick for best thing I saw all week was a complete no brainier, as last week's episode of
Black-ish on ABC, was phenomenal.
The show was entitled, "Hope", and it focused on the very relevant topic that we face everyday in this country, police brutality. The way the topic was tackled head on, with all seriousness and respect a topic of this magnitude deserved, while also mixing in some very good comedy was so well done. The fact that this sitcom was able to do what many dramas have been unable to do, and that is present a current concern of the Black family in a way that was relatable and real, only further speaks to the shows greatness.
This show featured so may great moments, so rather than pick out the obvious scene where Dre talks about the fear he and Bow had while watching President and Michelle Obama walk outside the limo on Inauguration day back in 08, I have decided to post the entire episode. It was that great.
Jeez man. What a great cast. Jennifer Lewis and Lawrence Fishbourne add so much to this show and the kids are excellent as well. So great. Best thing I watched last week.
