DVR Top Five of the Week - 7/16/18
TOP FIVE SHOWS
OF THE LAST WEEK
Claws - TNT
Wow, Desna gets proposed to then learns that her new fiance is a con artist and walks in on him catching the head from the Russian. Crazy!! Not to mention she snitched on the Clay and his crews plan to take down the Russians and because they knew about it, Brice got shot and may die. And you know Jen going hold Desna responsible once she finds out. Crazy episode.
Big Brother - CBS
Thursday's live eviction episode was the culmination of a crazy week of shows for Big Brother. Swaggy C was backdoored and betrayed by his own alliance member, then voted out of the game far earlier than a player of his caliber deserved. Swaggy was cocky, but he was entertaining to watch, and losing him will have a clear impact on the enjoyment level of the season. I was very happy that member of the Level 6 alliance did not win HOH, and if you have been keeping up with my live feed updates, you know that Scotty has been kicking ass and taking names during this current week. Go to to the front page and catch up now!
Power - Starz
Not the most exciting episode ever but it advanced a few important storylines that will most definitely be important later. The biggest takeaway for me was the clear revelation of what I already knew, Dre ain't bout that life for real and he faking the funk. Plus his two soldiers he demoted are going to be the ones used to help take him down mark my words.
Love Is - OWN
I absolutely love this show more than I can explain. I have wanted to include this in the top five the last two weeks, but I was determined to acknowledge it this for just how great it is. Yasir and Nuri's love story is so relatable and it's a story I have never seen play out on TV. So realistic and well portrayed by the performers. I love that we know they end up together so we have that assurance, but the unique development of their relationship filled with twist and turns is such a joy to watch.
THIS WEEK'S NUMBER ONE
Succession - HBO
I absolutely can not say enough great things about this show. Kendall swung for the fences, attempting to get his father voted out of the CEO spot, but promises were broken when it was time for the vote to go down. This was excellent TV!! I loved when Roman started to raise his arm to vote and Logan told him "You better be smelling your fucking armpit!!" LOLOL. Then he fired everybody who voted against him!! This was GREAT!!!!
